The effect is grating, like a chef preparing to cook<\/p>\n
It wears on me a little bit, Disappoints me a little bit, Hurts me a little bit<\/p>\n But I will not quit<\/p>\n I will not die a death of a thousand cuts<\/p>\n I am molding myself into a Warrior who can get stabbed in the gut<\/p>\n And still walk with an indomitable strut<\/p>\n I welcome the opportunity of intensifying the feeling<\/p>\n Of trying to get pushed off my life purpose<\/p>\n Like hooking a shark with a fishing pole, you\u2019re not strong enough, keep reeling<\/p>\n I understand how people let their friends, family and a myriad of social pressures<\/p>\n Compel them back to \u201cacceptable behavior\u201d and conventional measures<\/p>\n How one chooses to react to my writing style reveals a lot about our connection<\/p>\n I urge you now to make your self-selection<\/p>\n Because my flame will only continue to burn brighter<\/p>\n When my temperature inevitably goes higher<\/p>\n Do you want to run away or hold me tighter?<\/p>\n Do we resonate?
