<\/p>\nIt is an amazing time we live in where the non-violent outrage of the general public can remove bad actors from positions of power so quickly.<\/p>\n
This should give humanity hope.<\/p>\n
For most of the problems of the world have solutions. It’s just there are too many people in power who don’t have the intellectual capability or moral character to commit to developing these solutions. Increasingly we have the power to remove these people.<\/p>\n
Thank you everyone for your support.<\/p>\n
Let’s take a moment of silence to honor this victory.<\/p>\n
Now, I want you to ask yourself is this fight for justice is over?<\/p>\n
I took on this fight because standing for the culture and ethics of Silicon Valley is something I’m deeply committed to.<\/p>\n
Now that the board has issued their official statement, I want to state clearly I am not satisfied
\nwith it.<\/p>\n
The board seemed to act to remove Gurbaksh not on the basis of his crimes and his admission of guilt but rather based on the feverish pitch of public outcry.<\/p>\n
To me this indicates a very strong possibility the majority of the board was more committed to profits than ethics. And only now have they acted because public outrage shifted the equation where RadiumOne stands to be more profitable without Gurbaksh as a leader, than with him.<\/p>\n
I believe a precedent needs to be set that future investors cannot value profits over ethics without their reputation being at stake if the truth comes out.<\/p>\n
With all the money and power that will increasingly be flowing through Silicon Valley we can’t let it develop a culture like Wall Street, where it was perfectly permissible and even encouraged to maximize profit at the expense of playing within the bounds of basic legal and moral decency.<\/p>\n
Wall Street has made the lives of millions of americans and people around the world significantly worse because of what their culture deems acceptable.<\/p>\n
We can’t let Silicon Valley get even close to that.<\/p>\n
With that in mind, I think it should be demanded that each board member of RadiumOne issue a follow up personal statement about their thinking as the situation transpired and the deliberation behind their decision.<\/p>\n
The board members will likely only issue personal statements if they are publicly pressured to do so.<\/p>\n
So I want to take a pulse from my friends and ask you,<\/p>\n
