This worldview is usually called Materialism and people who hold this worldview are called Materialistic.<\/p>\n<p>I was searching for good terminology to describe the situation when the left hand quadrants <span class=\"text_exposed_show\">are taken to have an exclusive purview on truth, but came up empty.<\/p>\n<p>I think I just found a solution.<\/p>\n<p>When the left hand quadrants are given exclusive purview over the truth, this should be called &#8220;Gross or Subtle Metaphorical Over-Simplification&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>(Or alternatively &#8220;Poetic Over-Simplification&#8221; but I like Metaphorical Over-Simplification better)<\/p>\n<p>This worldview should be called Irrational Idealism.
