For better or worse Vipassana is the most popular form of meditation retreat right now.
Vipassana is mostly First Turning of the Wheel Dharma with a little bit of Second sometimes mixed in.
It’s kind of like running the Blackberry OS instead of the iOS on an iPhone.
If you’ve done Vipassana and it’s not resonating as a deeply as you know a meditative path could for you, your soul may be ready for a different path, later in the genealogical evolution of Dharma.
I recently came across this post from a friend of mine. It’s solid.
I’ve personally done Dan Brown’s level 1 retreat and work closely with teachers in his Tibetan lineage.
I highly recommend it.
