Metaphorical Over-Simplification

Nice I think I just found a solution to a labeling problem in Integral Theory!

When the right hand quadrants are taken to have an exclusive purview on truth this called Gross or Subtle Reductionism. This worldview is usually called Materialism and people who hold this worldview are called Materialistic.

I was searching for good terminology to describe the situation when the left hand quadrants are taken to have an exclusive purview on truth, but came up empty.

I think I just found a solution.

When the left hand quadrants are given exclusive purview over the truth, this should be called “Gross or Subtle Metaphorical Over-Simplification”.

(Or alternatively “Poetic Over-Simplification” but I like Metaphorical Over-Simplification better)

This worldview should be called Irrational Idealism. And people who hold this worldview should be called Naive Idealists.

What do you think?
