On Character

“Who you are will come to light; you can’t hide it,” [Lebron] James said. “It don’t matter how much you can fake in front of cameras or try to be someone you’re not. At end of the day, who you truly are will come to light. No matter if [Sterling] said that in confinement of his family or said that by himself, he is who he is. He was that before he even owned the Clippers.”

Some people have questions about the haste of the removal of people like Gurbaksh Chahal and Donald Sterling from power due to precedent it sets of one behavioral action being the cause of someone’s demise. As that seemingly implies anyone of us are in danger of crossing that line at any moment if our judgement got the best of us.

But that’s not actually how we humans function.

Your words and actions are emergent behaviors out of the slow changing construct of your character.

And in our increasingly digitally transparent world, your character will inevitably come to light.
