Whew, just had a fun, intense 2.5 week sprint working on producing the 2015 Global Ecosystem Ranking with Compass.
Great job by the whole team. Definitely work to be proud of.
I worked as one of the lead writers and editors on the report and put together 4 new upgraded essays, which describe the growing importance of Startup Ecosystems by placing them in the context of our current big socioeconomic transition from the Industrial Era to the Information Era.
These essays rely on a lot of data to explain how the old guard of the business world is rapidly faltering, how tech startups are rising in their place, and why startups will be the primary growth engine of the Information Era, generating the majority of our new jobs, wealth and prosperity.
“Twenty years ago, almost all tech startups were created in startup ecosystems like Silicon Valley and Boston. Today, technology entrepreneurship is a global phenomenon, with startup ecosystems similar to Silicon Valley rapidly emerging all around the world. An interconnected, global startup landscape is taking shape and we’ve gathered the data and crunched the numbers that nobody else has to help you understand how to best navigate this brave new economic world.”
