If you have some inkling that there is *something more* to reality than what your current worldview prescribes and predicts,
Then know that the process of widening your perspectival horizons starts with questioning your existing beliefs.
I recommend beginning by deeply pondering these questions:
Why does this universe have something rather than nothing?
From an engineering perspective, how does this universe work so fucking well? How do you go from the Big Bang, an infinite point of light and energy, to everything you see around you?
Imagine you were to try to build it…would you have any idea where to start?
Is the theory of the big bang or any theory in the mainstream scientific establishment really sufficient, adequate or parsimonious to explain reality?
How do you get physics to emerge out of math, chemistry to emerge out of physics, biology to emerge out chemistry and technology to emerge out of biology?
Where does consciousness come from? Is it really just an emergent property of complexity in biology?
What is consciousness? What is not consciousness?
Why do all ‘bands of consciousness’ believe in something like a higher power, spirit or god, except a narrow band of rationalistic thought that is a reaction to Abrahamic Monotheistic Traditionalism?
Even many of the most prominent Western Age of Enlightenment thinkers, such as Benjamin Franklin, Voltaire and Thomas Paine, subscribed to a philosophy that included God, called Deism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deism).
Give these question a ponder…
Then tell me in the comments or DM what comes up for you.
